i beat bahamut in almost 1 hit in FFIII using the dragoon i jumped and did 9999 was way too easy

In the DS remake of FFIV, Bahamut is a lot harder because in past versions of the game, you could just cast Reflect on everyone and Mega Flare would just hit him. They changed it for the DS one. The people who survive it get Sap status too.
